Welcome back to our weekly Learning Kid Linkup! We are so glad you are here! As you are reading this, I'm sitting in a car on a roadtrip across America. If you know me well, you are probably thinking, "What!" I'm the kind of person who can't sit still for five minutes, so sitting in a car for any amount of time is my idea of hell (as I like to mention on every occasion). But I have my running gear with me, so hopefully I would get plenty of opportunities to get rid of those wiggles along the way. What is new with you this week? Don't be shy to use the comments section below to let us know!
Meet your hosts for Learning Kid Linkup:
Eva from Kid Minds
Melanie from Tree Valley Academy
Diona from All Day Everyday Mom
We want to thank everyone who linked up with us last week. It wouldn't be fun without you! The most clicked on post from last week was Shake It Up: Earthquake activities and Unit Study delivered in a box by Steam Powered Family. We just ordered our first box from the same company and can't wait to try it! Check it out, if your kids love to have fun with science (and who doesn't)!
I have two posts that I want to feature this week. I liked First Grade Fridays from Little Log Cottage school. I'm always curious how other homeschooling families do it and what is the rhythm of their family. It's nice to have a peek inside and learn something new.
I also want to feature Upper and Lower case ABC matching sticks post from Something 2 Offer. I tried it with my kids yesterday and they all enjoyed the activity. They especially liked attaching alphabet stickers to the sticks. After they were done with matching, they took the sticks outside to grow an alphabet garden.
